Adrian Thurston
Dip COT (Occupational Therapy), BA (Hons), Dip HE (Psychology)
Psychotherapy & Counselling in London for individuals and couples.

In a confidential space away from the gaze of public bodies, I offer psychotherapy, counselling, trauma therapy, anxiety counselling, relationship counselling, and therapy for couples, providing a safe place to talk when life becomes too overwhelming or confusing to face alone. Whether you’re struggling with a life change, emotional challenges, or mental health concerns, I provide mental health support, emotional support, and tailored psychotherapy services through counselling sessions. With options for online therapy, child psychotherapy, adult counselling, and occupational therapy, I’m here to listen, offer guidance, and suggest alternatives to help you move forward.
Training, Qualifications & Experience
I am a qualified Occupational Therapist and hold the Diploma of Higher Education specializing in the Psychology of Child Development, which is roughly equivalent to a Childcare Level 5/6. I have an Enhanced DBS on the update service, and have a BA (Hons) in Communication Design, which helps a lot with listening. I haven’t always been a Counsellor, but have worked in film, television and education for many years where I have gained much insight into human deconstruction.
Abstract
There are times in our lives when we need help. For most people, life is not a bed of roses but a struggle to remain planted. Maybe we need time and space to recover from a trauma, or to sit and talk with an empathetic soul. This is where I come into the picture. If you need to be heard, then I will listen. If you need to bear witness, then I will hear and understand. If you need to say something which you wouldn’t say to friends, work colleagues and family, then you can say it to me. Maybe something you have actually said to someone is playing on your mind, then we can examine it. I am a confidential space where you will not be judged, and will feel at home, either online, or on the phone. If you need to be seen in practice, then that too can be arranged at an extra cost, but for now I am either online or at the end of a phone.
Who Are We?
Human beings are archetypes which are full of emotions, experiences, personality traits, characters and desires, which determine the course of our pathway through life. Our actions and designs can design it. However, we are all open to change, to rewriting our destiny, even if it seems that we don’t even have the strength or power to affect anything at all. We are integral to everything, and all things are integral to us. Occupational Psychotherapy sees things from your point of view with the intent of an integral interactive approach to help you to overcome your problems. It is a proven fact that walking a difficult, even hazardous path with a friend by your side, can make a dangerous journey just arduous, and an arduous journey bearable, so making the whole process navigable.
